On October 13, one person died as a result of a mudflow observed in the mountainous areas of Dehqonobod district of the Qashqadaryo region, the region's Emergency Situations Department reports .

According to the report, at around 17:30, a mudflow passed through the area of the Shakarbuloq village of the Qo‘ng‘irot mahalla of the district due to a short-term heavy rainfall.

After that, the driver got out of the car, tried to call for help, and warned his companion that a mudflow was coming. However, the powerful mudflow swept away the Damas and the passenger inside it.

During the search and rescue operation, the passenger's body was found. According to the report, officials were dispatched to the scene of the incident.

Earlier, Uzhydromet had warnedthat mudflows and flooding could occur on October 13–14 in several districts of a number of regions.
