The US has not stopped sharing intelligence with Ukraine. US President Donald Trump announced this while speaking with journalists, as reported by Clash Report.
"No, we have not stopped. We are helping them. We are really helping them reach a final settlement. We want the war to end," Trump said.
When asked why he is so confident that Russian President Vladimir Putin supposedly wants the war to end more than Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does, Trump replied:
"I said this through negotiations — I have been dealing with exactly this kind of work all my life. I think Putin probably wants it too; I believe both of them want this thing to end. You know, frankly, both of them want it to end, but they don't know how to achieve it. There is a lot of hatred there... In the end, everything will be fine. Do you know why? Because it always has been."
Trump also commented on Russia's alleged violation of the "energy truce" he had previously announced. The US President said that Ukraine had supposedly struck numerous Russian energy facilities a day earlier. Trump also promised to provide more information later about the effectiveness of the "energy truce."
Earlier, the Kyiv Independent reported that the administration of US President Donald Trump had openly threatened senior Ukrainian officials, demanding that they stop striking Russian oil refineries. According to the publication, Washington said that if Ukraine strikes Russian energy infrastructure during the so-called "energy truce" period, responsibility for this would be placed on Kyiv.
At the same time, according to the Reuters news agency, on October 13, following Trump's statement about the "energy truce," Russia for the first time did not strike Ukrainian energy facilities. Journalists reached this conclusion by analyzing the daily reports of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
