According to the announcement, based on the relevant decision of the hokim of Navoiy region dated October 13, 2026, Islomov Bobir Husnidinovich has been appointed as the hokim of the city of Navoiy.
Prior to this appointment, he served as First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC 'Regional Electric Grids' for electricity grid operations.
Bobir Islomov was born in 1981 in Navbahor district. He graduated from the Navoiy State Mining Institute in 2003, the Bukhara Institute of Food and Light Industry Technology in 2005, and the Higher Business School in 2012.
Dilmurod Ergashev had been leading the city of Navoiy since July 2023 until now. The reason for his removal from the position was not stated.
On July 21, the President, at a video conference meeting dedicated to discussing the results achieved in the first half of the year and the work to be done until the end of the year, instructed the prime minister to review the suitability of 17 hokims for their positions as assigned. The list also included the hokim of the city of Navoiy.
