China's Alibaba has unveiled its second-generation Qwen-based "smart" glasses starting at $450, as reported by Bloomberg.
The device comes in two versions: N1 and N1 Pro. The latter is additionally equipped with an eye-tracking system, allowing the glasses to determine which object the user is looking at, recognize it with the help of artificial intelligence, and provide information about it.
The N1 Pro also supports payments authenticated via the iris and monitors health indicators, including heart rate, blood oxygen level, and skin temperature.
According to the company, in standby mode the glasses can run for up to 25 hours on a single charge, and up to nine hours while playing music. The batteries in the glasses' temples are designed to be replaceable.
The base N1 version is priced at $450, while the N1 Pro costs $523. The glasses have already gone on sale in China; it is unknown when the device will appear in other regions.
